Custom colour options

We are quite proud that we make all our gear in Australia. The bonus of this is you can customise any of our bags to your exact personality and tastes. On our custom designs page we give you the option to choose colours, and it may be confusing as to which colour or section is which. Watch as we show you what we mean when we ask you for your exterior colour preference, interior colour preference, webbing colour preference, and explain what a bartack is!

Australian made and customisable
All our gear is made right here in Australia in our studio in Springwood, which means that you can customise your pack to your specifications if you like

What do all the custom questions mean?
If you have a look on our website, we will ask you questions such as:
What outer colour would you like?
What liner colour would you like?
What colour webbing would you like?
What colour bar tacking would you like?
All of these questions can get a bit confusing, so this video demonstrates what each component is using one of our custom Spare Camels.

What is the external fabric?
External or outer fabric is the black that you can see on the outside of the bag in the video.

What is the liner fabric?
The internal, inside or liner fabric is the greyish-green fabric that you can see on the inside of the bag in the video.

What is the webbing?
The webbing is the gold fabric that you can see in strips along the front, on the sides and on the top handle of the bag in the video.

What is the bar tacking?
The bar tacking is the stitching that you can see evenly spaced on top of the gold webbing on the front. (Technically a bar tack is a triple stitch with a zig zag over the top for both strength and production speed.) The bar tacking on the bag in the video is black.

Where can I get one?
If you have any questions about our custom bags or if you are interested in getting your own, head to our custom section of our website and check it out.
